Hustler made a spindle change based on serial number for 48" deck models:
If your mower's serial number is below 20012918, this spindle (601804 / 607418) is compatible.
If your mower's serial number is 20012918 or higher, this spindle will not fit. Please use the updated assembly with housing 607419 and shaft 601829.
